-Leaves from landscaped beds, window wells, shrubs and hard surfaces are blown onto grass areas. -Leaves and dead grass are vacuumed and chopped into powder with a mulching mower. -This powder is loaded with nutrients that feed the grass and give your lawn a healthy start in Spring. Your yard is left neat and clean and you will notice it green up beautifully in a few days. We aggressively rake the lawn to remove thatch. We go over the big areas two or three times with the rakes on the mowers. We hit the smaller areas with a small power rake. Thatch is then mulched into nutrients that are a benefit instead of a hindrance. Most sunny areas can benefit from having this done every year with the spring cleanup. Roof & Gutter Cleaning:
-Down Spouts are blown clean of clogs and debris. Gutters are taken apart and re-assembled if needed to remove severe clogs. -This is most often done with yard cleanups in spring & again in the fall before it freezes permanently. Our Fall Cleanups begin in October as part of our weekly mowing service. We vacuum and chop the falling leaves into nutrient rich powder to keep the lawn growing thicker instead of being shaded and suffocated. Near the end of October, We blow the bulk of the leaves from landscaped beds and hard surfaces. Leaves are mulched into nutrients. Excessive leaves are vacuumed and hauled away. -Trees, bushes, and shrubs removal and stump grinding done on call. Seeding: We are very effective in getting grass to grow in the shade where grass has thinned out in the early spring.
-Next we aerate the area. -Then we haul in soft-top soil to hold the seed. -We plant a dense shade seed mixture, which blends well with most types of grasses and grows very well with little sunlight. -Finally we apply starter fertilizer to achieve a high germination rate.
-Keep ground moist at all times until new grass is ready to be mowed. -Don't let dirt turn gray, keep it moist and dark in color. -After it is tall enough to be mowed water as you would the rest of the lawn. -Set mower height between 2.5 and 3 inches, taller during summer months. In sunny areas and along streets and driveways, sod works very well. We can install an "instant lawn" that will do well in direct sun. Sod prevents weeds from growing and area can be maintained with any fertilizer and weed control program. Keep new sod moist until it is firmly rooted (sticks to the ground). Lawn Mowing ServiceMowing will be done on the same day (weather permitting) each week. You can choose to have your lawn mowed every week regardless of growth or skip a week or two if we don't think it needs to be cut. Clippings will be mulched into the lawn. Recycling the clippings into the lawn all year is as good as one application of the best fertilizer money can buy. You can choose to have us bag clippings weekly, for an occasion, or whenever they get to be too excessive. Bagging does cost extra. We mow at 2.5 inches in the spring and fall. Height of cut is raised as the summer heat increases to help keep your lawn green. We line trim around all obstacles in the yard so all the grass is cut evenly. Grass clippings are blown off sidewalks and driveways and kept away from sensitive areas. We have mowers of all sizes and will use what is best for your lawn.  Landscaping for All Seasons

Late Spring: Crabgrass pre-emergent is applied lightly to entire lawn. Slow release fertilizer is applied. Lawn is blanket sprayed with broadleaf weed control to eliminate all weeds. We guarantee weed control! Early Summer: Premium high potash and iron slow release granular fertilizer is applied for premium color, density, and resistance to disease & drought. Summer: Crabgrass, and all those obnoxious summer weeds are spot sprayed. Slow release fertilizer is applied. Fall: Heavier amounts of slow release fertilizer is applied for good root growth. Weeds are sprayed. Budget Fertilizer program - Early Spring & Fall applications as described above. Quack Grass - Can be killed in the early spring when it starts growing faster and taller than your normal grasses. Most companies say you have to dig it out and resod. We can wipe it out at the time we do our Early Spring application. Gypsum or Lime - Significantly improves lawn’s health and vitality. Helps sod recover from salt damage and dog urine spots. Helps get rid of Creeping Charlie. Core aeration - Gives your lawn’s roots room to breathe and grow deeper. Lawns become thicker and more resistant to disease, drought, and stress. Recommended every fall for heavy clay soils. Every other year is good for the others. Organic Fertilizer / Weed Control ProgramIf you are concerned about the effects of chemicals on the environment and your family, please ask about our unique organic fertilizer and organic weed control program. Other companies advertise organic programs, but most say they cannot kill Crab Grass, Creeping Charlie, dandelions, or other broadleaf weeds. They have organic fertilizer. They don’t have organic weed control. Corn Gluten Meal will only prevent crabgrass from germinating.
